In Novembre 2007 within the 11th Wine Fair “Pisa-Vini”, the contest “I Pisani più schietti”, that awards the best wines produced in the province of Pisa, was held.
Our Montescudaio Rosso was awarded the first prize by the judges of Fisar (The Association of Italian Sommeliers, Restaurant and Hotel keepers). Montescudaio Rosso is made from Sangiovese and small quantities of Canaiolo, Colorino and Teroldego (a clone of a grape variety from Friuli).
Marco d’Antilio greatly appreciated the award for “his” wine.
