The stone building that consists of the two flats “Campogrande” and “M’ama Lucia” stands on the hillside. The enchanting position is isolated and wonderfully panoramic over the valley of the river Cecina which can be reached on foot only a few hundred metres away. It is about two kilometres from the town of Montescudaio and the last 500 metres of the way is a dirt road. The wood-beamed ceilings, the old brick frame around the windows and many more of its characteristics have been well restoration to their original splendour, and the loving care with which the restoration work was carried out can be noticed in many details: the wooden furniture of old times, the ironwork bedsteads and even the matching of the colours.
The two independent, well-furnished gardens are spread over the terraced ground around the house, surrounded by woods and fields.
"Campogrande" is for 6 people and is on two floors. On the ground floor there is the dining-room with a fireplace, the kitchen and a small washing-room with toilet. Upstairs each one of the three bedrooms (one double and two single with two single beds) has a beautiful bathroom. The heating is separate.
It does not seem so much a holiday house as a house to live in.
"M'ama Lucia" is for 4 people and is situated on the ground floor, with no architectural barriers. It is made up of a large kitchen in stone with fireplace, a double bedroom with bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds and bathroom. The access is easy for disabled people. Heating. There is a common store-room outside, with washing machine and barbecue.
